XINA TOWN is to become a simbiotic forest-garden town. We are looking for the first seven families to join
XinaTown does not build houses – it creates coherent spaces in which human life can unfold like a living organism.
Ziel des Projekts
What is commonly imagined as paradise is a life in harmony with the natural environment. With this ambition, the village El Vergel was founded in 2003 — until now inhabited only by its creator, Bernardo. Together with local Maya families, Bernardo has built a first cluster of houses. The elders of the region recognized this place as “Chan Ká” — the first modern expression of a Maya political and cultural entity. This was not a democratic designation, but a cultural acknowledgment — the result of many years of lived exploration: – agricultural practice – relationship with the jungle – child development – family life – social and productive organization
The Fundamental Question
Over the past hundred years, the construction of our cities has been increasingly shaped by industrial processes.
Materials, standards, and economic interests define the spaces we inhabit.
Yet the human body and psyche follow different principles:
the patterns of nature —
networks, fractal structures, minimal energy pathways.
The Break
Our built environment is largely disconnected from these principles.
The result is both visible and tangible:
Spaces without inner resonance.
Structures without relationship.
Systems without vitality.
The Approach
XinaTown is an attempt to dissolve this separation.
Not as an idea — but as a lived place.
A town that aligns itself with the organizing principles of living systems:
– mycelial networks that connect and stabilize
– rivers and nervous systems that follow fractal patterns
Efficient. Adaptive. Coherent.
The Consequence
In XinaTown, the forest is not merely surroundings.
It is a structuring force.
A teacher.
A part of human habitat.
The processes that create fertile soil are made tangible —
also within the human being, through nutrition, plant knowledge, and living systems.
The rainforest becomes part of everyday life.
The Central Question
Among all natural communities, the forest expresses a special quality:
Congruence — the alignment of body, perception, and action.
When this alignment is present,
energy flows freely — without unnecessary resistance.
This leads to the guiding question of XinaTown:
How must architecture be designed
to support human congruence? This is not a theoretical concept. It has already been lived.Over more than 20 years, a new rainforest has emerged
on previously degraded tropical land — step by step.
Today, a functioning interaction exists between:
– forest
– food systems
– water structures
– human life
In resonance with principles also used by the ancient Maya.
The Perspective
Beneath the surface lie the traces of earlier settlements.
Above the ground, a new form is emerging.
What was once possible can become possible again —
if we relearn relationship.
The Invitation
XinaTown is not a finished project.
It is a growing field.
Community does not arise from planning —
but from participation.

Das Projekt sucht
- Pioniere, die den Aufbau mitgestalten — Erste Häuser stehen zur Verfügung. Viele mehr können gebaut werden. Nachhaltig. Baubiologisch. Die Kosten liegen bei 25% dessen was Du in Europa zahlen mußt. Wir verkaufen kein Land sondern Nutzungsrechte. Das Gemeinwohl hat Vorrang.
- Hauskäufer, die sich fest oder für einige Jahre bei uns niederlassen — Mit dem Hauskauf weiten wir unser lokales Ausbildungsprogramm aus, bauen Handwerksbetrieb auf, die weitere Häuser erstellen. Produzieren Nahrungsmittel auf Maya Terrassen. Pflanzen noch mehr Wald. Pumpen noch mehr sauberes Wasser aus dem Untergrund. Unter der Erdoberfläche liegen große Reserven verborgen. Die Landschaft ist wahrscheinlich die schönste in ganz Yucatán. Platz haben wir für viele hundert Familien
- Geldgeber, die den Aufbau des dorfeigenen Handwerks unterstützen — Der momentane wirtschaftliche Zusammenbruch öffnet den Menschen die Augen für solidere Alternativen. Architektur, Nahrungsmittelerzeugung, Energieversorgung …… in allen Bereichen können wir Pionier werden. Wer an Visionen glaubt und sie auf den Boden stellen möchte, ist bei uns richtig.
- Eltern, die ihren Kindern ein anderes Aufwachsen und Lernen ermöglichen wollen — Die Frage nach der Zukunft ist nicht primär technologisch oder politisch, sondern pädagogisch. Nicht im engen Sinne von Schule, sondern im Sinne von "Wie wird ein Mensch befähigt, sich selbst, andere und die Welt zu verstehen und verantwortungsvoll zu gestalten?" Unsere Pädagogik soll Erfahrung wieder ins Zentrum stellen, Selbstwirksamkeit ermöglichen undVerantwortung erfahrbar machen. Kinder werden dabei gleichzeitig die Pioniere einer tieferen Beziehung zur natürlichen Umwelt. Wir alten werden von ihnen lernen.
- Männer und Frauen, die ihre eigene Menschlichkeit entfalten wollen. — Körper, Geist und Seele wollen wir üben - um zur Herzensgemeinschaft zu werden.

- XinaTown Pionier werden — Mit 3,000€ reservierst Du Dir einen Platz als Pionier - nur Living Earth Mitgieder, sonst €5,000). Die ersten Pioniere haben Anspruch auf den Kauf eines der bestehenden 5 Häuser: als endgültigen Wohnsitz, wenn sie wollen; oder, um darin zu wohnen bis sie sich ihr neues Haus nach nach eigenen Vorstellungen gebaut haben. Die Rohbaukosten liegen bei 600€ pro qm Wohnfläche, Waldgarten inklusive.
- XinaTown Investor werden — Du weisst noch nicht, ob oder wann Du einenn anderen Lebensort brauchst. Wir bieten an für Dich zu bauen und zu vermieten oder später zu verkaufen.
- XinaTown Gestalter werden — Wir suchen Projektpartner. Lass uns darüber sprechen.
